We pride ourselves on our strong parent partnership and believe that working alongside parents encourages a smooth transition into nursery life. Our families are at the heart of what we do and we are committed to working together to secure the very best outcomes possible for all children. We encourage open communication between nursery staff and our parents by using feedback questionnaires, informal discussions and social gatherings
At Bendi-gedig we understand it can be daunting for parents to leave their little ones in a childcare setting. However, we strive to ensure that the parents are just as happy as the children. We use tapestry as a way to communicate with our parents throughout the day. By using this we are able to provide parents with real-time updates on their child and keep up to date with daily activities and observation. Parents will be provided with their own personal account which gives them access to a variety of pictures and videos as well as having access to see how they have eaten, slept and generally been throughout the day. By documenting observations using this app, we are able to link any development progression with our preferred curriculum. Parents are able to see exactly how their children are developing on a daily basis
We understand how important it is for your child to feel safe in their environment. Children thrive from a loving and secure relationship which is why we have a key worker system in place. Key workers are there to build positives relationships with both children and parents and are there for any enquiries or concerns parents may have. We allow children to choose their own key worker based on who they form the strongest bond with over their settling in period.
At Bendi-gedig we provide family consultation events where we celebrate each child’s achievements. Parents will get the opportunity to have a more in depth look at how their child is developing and learning. This allows parents to meet with their child’s key worker, see the nursery environment and discuss next steps of learning. It also provides opportunity to meet other parents and chat to the nursery team
We provide regular newsletters to inform families of what we have been up to and to keep them up to date with any changes or development within our setting. The newsletter provides general information, dates for the diaries and how families can support us.
We are fully registered with CIW and are part of the 30 free hours scheme. Please get in touch for more information. To read our CIW report, please click the link below
